I think I may have liked the linework better... I learned something new though: Marker does not play nice with acrylic paints.
Some notes:
The 'halo' is derived from the Zia sun symbol.
The insects are not butterflies, but are actually Luna Moths. (I love them!)
The flower is a Nigh-Blooming Cereus

I think that both versions have many nice touches to them! I like the linework by itself, but I like this a lot too... You've got me curious, though - How were you using markers and acrylics together? Did you apply the acrylic paint first, wait for it to dry, and then use marker over it, or..? *is trying to figure it out*

Marker doesn't go well over dried acrylic. ::sadface:: It looks all smeary and yucky.
