So... I painted this over a year ago. I'm surprised, I think I could do SO much better now. Anyway... it's a happy hyena, on a guinea fowl feather, wrapped in leather with a bone handle, adorned with wooden beads and hyena fur.

Happy Easter (Or, whichever springtime holiday you prefer)! So... I'm going to hell for making Easter Eggs like this. Remember, your Easter eggs wouldn't exist if it weren't for some very talented dinosaurs. This is the only egg I'll post here. The rest don't really apply to the gallery XD

About time I uploaded this! School's been kicking my butt lately, so there's been no new art, really. So, here's some from last May! This is my annual flower petal painting, done for the Marcon art show. This rose petal is the second best out of several that I pressed, generously donated from my Bro's garden.

Sadly, I lack the ability to make a real torc... but, this is as close as I can come. Each strand of wire is actually two strands coiled about itself... I think the necklace uses about forty feet of wire O.o Anywho, this Stag-headed torcish thingie is a gift for an incredible friend, Wolfsjal, based off of her werewolf character's torc. Happy early Yule? Or Late Birthday... meh who needs a reason to do something nice for someone? Either way... gift for Wolfsjal.

Westly Essence Bottle by Nashoba Hostina

Not sure what to classify this as... meh. Either way, this is a gift I made for Westlya good long while ago... gave it to him last time I visited, and, last I saw, it was sitting on is TV. Either way... this is a bottle designed to capture one's inner essence... and is a constant thing in the making. I happened to have things that already fit Wes, including a pair of fangs, a bit of his hair, as well as black fur, and a shuny black feather. The wire is red and purple, to represent two of his selves, and a pentagram adorns the top, for his religion. The stones are Moonstone, Lapis Lazuli, and Amethyst. The Image in the center of the charm I drew and colored on the comp, then affixed it in place.

Wolf through the Crystal by Nashoba Hostina

I love painting on unorthidox things, ranging from boxes to leaves and feathers, however, I decided to do something a little different… paint on a crystal. I did this because I love the way a crystal’s facets bend light and make things appear distorted or broken. Sort of taking a new perspective on painting, I suppose. Considering that I’m working ‘backwards’ by the way I do things, the size of the piece (here’s its size next to a penny http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/Nashoba_Hostina/wolfcrystalpenny.jpg ) and the fact that this is sort of a prototype for later pieces, I think it turned out fairly decently. I hope to do more of these in the future, with wrapped handles and the like much like my wands and prayer feathers. Craft geekery.

Phoenix Feather Fan by Nashoba Hostina

I’ve gone through a lot in the past couple of years… I’ve been hitting a point where my candle has begun to burn low. And when I look to the future, all I can really see is a wall of flame. I have a lot of hot spots ahead, a lot of pain to work through, and a rough trail to walk in spite of metaphorical and actual injuries. I just hope that I walk out of the ashes as brilliantly as a phoenix. ::Chuckles:: I wish I could put in the rest of the comment that goes with this... oh well. Nashoba is a wordy gal.
